MIF Philanthropic Mission Nigeria – August 2019

Mission Summary

Mezu International Foundation (MIF) expresses its sincere thanks to our over 90 amazing medical and non-medical staff who worked tirelessly during the two day annual & free medical mission in Imo State, Nigeria, which provides compassionate care to about 2000 men, women, and children. A heartfelt thanks to all the Mezu International Foundation Medical Center (MIFMC) medical staff (doctors, nurses, lab technicians, therapists, engineers, construction personnel, and administration) for their wonderful team work.

Thank you to our dedicated MIF summer interns: two medical student researchers from our collaborating institutions in the United States of America: University of Wisconsin, University of Michigan School of Medicine, and 30 senior optometry students from our collaborating institutions in Nigeria: Abia State University & Federal University of Technology Owerri.

A special appreciation to MIF’s “Our Lady Food Kitchen” women empowering organization who, as always, cooked and served nutritious meals and drinks to all patients as they waited for hours to be seen. We indeed received more joy than we came to give.

For our other MIF family, well-wishers, partners and sponsors who supported us from afar, your generosity in kind and spirit is appreciated. Please join us in this humanitarian global health mission or support our work in any little way.
