Outreach Presentation – American Public Health Association

 

Mezu International Foundation presents research at the 2016 American Public Health Association (APHA) conference held in Denver, Colorado on Nov 1, 2016 by University of Wisconsin medical student, Kevin Rolnick; Dr. Olachi Mezu-Ndubuisi, UW neonatology and Kevin’s UW faculty mentor; and Dr. Kelechi Mezu-Nnabue, MIF mission volunteer coordinator.

Kevin presented his global health poster titled, Socio-economic Factors are associated with Early Cataracts in a South-eastern Nigerian Community, based on his 2015 summer research internship with MIF in Nigeria.

MIF has a partnership with University of Wisconsin to host medical students interested in a summer research internship during the MIF annual medical mission in Imo State, Nigeria. This summer internship in Imo State is funded by UW Shapiro Summer Research Program, UW Department of Pediatrics and Mezu International Foundation.
